Love for my Life

Leave a comment Standard

When a part of your purpose is that there is no plan, it is easy to get caught up thinking that something is wrong, that something is off. “I should have a traditional career by now, I should have a mortgage by now, I should have children by now…” I don’t have any of that. I weave dreams into reality. That is what I do. Each new adventure, each new place, each new experience: I drive to my dreams and then create new dreams. I have love for my life now.

This life isn’t perfect. Shit breaks in the RV, I don’t make as much money as I used to and what I am trying to build is going to take a lot of patience. YouTube, the blog, the podcast – these things take time. Living the RV life is strange. Some days you are getting bit by a dog at the RV park and other days you are visiting the grand canyon. Rainy days are boring, but the sun reminds you why you chose this lifestyle. Without the lows, without the days you are pushed to your limits, the magical days on the beach, mountains and desert just wouldn’t be as sweet.

If anyone tries to tell you that living in an RV doesn’t have any cons then they are bull shitting you like the internet loves to do. You are dealing with a small space, your cat is playing around in the litter box presenting a lovely aroma throughout the RV, you find leaks, your slide floor is FUBAR, etc. BUT, I got to say, it’s better than officially being homeless…

I like my life. No, I love my life. And I don’t think that was the case a long time ago. I went from depression and confusion to having more certainty and joy in my life. There is more light than darkness. It’s not all light, but I own more of my personal space than I ever have. I’m good with that, but it does not mean I will stop. There are many mountains to climb. Each present challenges and lessons to be learned. Each mountaintop is a victory,  a milestone and a new perspective.

If I was handed it all in the beginning, I would not learn patience or gratitude. I would not truly know joy. I wouldn’t be learning commitment and connectivity. It is through pain and struggle I have learned my strength, a strength I don’t need to prove to others and a strength not harnessed in a gym.

Something that surprises me is when I see people who have it all; family, big dreams, money, travel – but something is still off. So off that you need to take time away from a dream career to get yourself back in order or so off that you end up committing suicide…. It’s heartbreaking and sad to see. I know depression. I know pain. It’s ugly. It’s an internal war that not everyone always notices. This is why I believe health is so important. Self-awareness is important. Taking risks and following your dreams – it’s all important. In the end though we are human. You can have it all, you can feel god like, but shit can still go south and I don’t mean south for the winter. Life isn’t perfect, but nowadays – I love mine.

Social Media Influencer?

Comment 1 Standard

I see this term being thrown around a lot lately…. I don’t want to be a social media influencer though. I just like creating and sharing. If you like it – great, if you don’t – no problem. If I have an opportunity to work with a brand that I like and aligns to what we are doing, then I have no problem with that. I would prefer though to make money from google ads, supporters of the podcast and patreon.

There was a time when there weren’t ads on social media nor was there “social media influencers” doing ads on their content. On one hand it is nice that people can be self employed and on another hand it is just another platform for more ads to be shoved into your face. It is like my love / hate relationship with technology and the internet. There are pros and cons.

It is nice to discover a product I am interested in from a creator on youtube, especially if it is a product that is related to what the creator normally talks about. Quite often though that is not the case. It is a norm to see many popular you tubers doing ads for companies that have nothing to do with them. For example, if we did an ad for a really good yoga mat, that would make sense – we do make yoga and mediation videos. But, if we did an ad for Dorito chips, that wouldn’t really make sense considering that I don’t even eat them anymore nor does it have anything to do with the content we create.

I understand the need to work with brands to sustain their career and lifestyle as a creator. I get it. I am open and willing to do it too, as long as it makes sense. I think I would feel like an idiot trying to sell some product I didn’t use, care about or believe in. If it had something to do with camera gear or something related to recreational vehicles then yeah, that makes sense to me.

I think there is nothing wrong with developing relationships with brands and presenting services or products on YouTube or other platforms, but where do you draw the line? Are the brands you are working with in alignment to your own brand or personal beliefs? I guess this comes down to the dollar signs in front of your eyes or integrity.

So, do I consider myself a social media influencer? No. I don’t even have enough followers to be considered anyway. I just want to evolve as a creator and make better content. Plain and simple.

Living a Reversed Life

Leave a comment Standard

We were sold a lie, weren’t we? Work really hard and if you are lucky, you might just enjoy the the remainder of your life. We tend to look at life as mostly being about work. It isn’t until the end of your life that you can actually do what you want to do… That seems a bit off to me. I know this article might piss some people off, but it is something that I think is important to talk about.

My wife and I have been living and traveling in an RV full-time for almost a year now. I’m in my early 30’s and my wife is in her late 20’s. We have never come across people our age that are doing what we are doing. I know with certainty that there are people our age doing van life or RV life, but we just have yet to cross paths with them. Most people doing this are much older and retired. There is nothing wrong with that, but I personally want to do this now while I am still relatively young and healthy. I prefer to live the reversed life…

I already have enough college debt as it is, thinking of having a mortgage or having children just does not seem like a responsibility I am interested at this point in my life. I like the freedom. I don’t feel lost on this journey. If anything this voyage is helping me become more okay with letting go of control, being comfortable in the unknown and being present. Plans don’t always come to fruition in life, especially living in an RV. There is a great deal of room for spontaneity to breathe.

What I notice is that most people tend to go from being a child to being a parent. Adulthood is completely skipped. I like the idea of being an adult for a while. Nobody is responsible for me and I am not responsible for anyone else. There is freedom in that and with my freedom I choose adventure and art, creating as I go. Movement is what I love, whether it is feeling my own energy running internally and / or we are kayaking down a river. Energy likes to move. I like to move 🙂

My goal is to be as healthy as possible even in older age, but I still prefer doing the adventurous activities NOW. I talk with many people from around the world every day and I notice something disturbing and that is how much higher education is shoved down our throats. Study hard, get into a lot of debt and potentially struggle to find a job where your real responsibility is to power someone else’s dream. Maybe I’m just too radical, I don’t know, but after a while, I just didn’t have the energy anymore to power something I did not care about or believe in. What I believe in is myself. I believe in my dreams. And that is what I want to supply power to.

Most of the world operates on the following levels; survival, emotional and an action oriented level. Something is missing. Spirit. And that is the direction we are all heading and will eventually go deeper into; identity, inner voice, neutrality, clarity, and knowing the age old questions. We fear death primarily because we identity as the body. What if we identify as a spiritual being WITH a body? It is a slow evolution on the planet, but it is happening, one chakra at a time 🙂

If you could live a reversed life, what would you be doing now? That thing you are pushing off until the later years of your life, what is that and what would it be like if you were doing it NOW?

the Next Chapter…

Leave a comment Standard

Four months of staying in one place. FOUR MONTHS! Haha. It was not what I was expecting, but with the USA having four seasons, we of course were going to need to stay somewhere warm for the winter. For us that was southern California. When I think of southern California I think of LA & San Diego. No we were far south. Right by the Mexican border actually. Anyway, these past few months have been less about adventure and more about working online, going to the gym, doing taxes, fixing our slide, enjoying warm weather and chillin in the hot tub. Well, this chapter is ending in a few days and a new one will begin…

There are times I get frustrated with living in an RV. I think anyone who does this full-time probably experiences the same thing; waiting for the hot water heater, hitting your head on something, dishes overflowing, etc. What makes it amazing though are all the places you get to see and the people you meet. I think Washington DC, New York City and the Grand Canyon have been my favorite places we have visited so far. While the area that we are currently in is not the most interesting, it is probably the best RV Park we have been to. The weather, hot tub and the people are great! We will most likely be returning for next winter. I say most likely because with us, you never really know where we are going to end up – haha!

What I am most excited about for the remainder of 2019 are the national parks that we will get to see. We also have not seen our families in quite a while, so we will also have an opportunity to do that.

I love being able to avoid cold weather. I love visiting the iconic attractions of America, and also the hidden gems. I love having the choice to just sit in my chair, stare at a mountain and enjoy the warm weather or going out and having an adventure. I like having freedom. Freedom to control my work schedule. Freedom to roam the United States and beyond. When we had our dog walking business people would mention that we had freedom. And we did. We were our own bosses, but the level of freedom that we have now is so much greater than before. I am currently living a dream of mine while working towards another dream. A bigger dream. As I write this, it seems very much like my sleeping dreams – how I can be in one dream and then shift into another dream.

Although traveling is a dream of mine, it does not  mean it is 24/7 happiness. I’m happier, but it doesn’t mean that things can’t be frustrating or difficult at times. Life is not perfect. It is also interesting to think how my dream can be someone else’s nightmare. This life style is not for everyone. I am not the type of individual that thrives in the 9-5, have a boss, stay in one place type of energy. Although I work 36-42 hours per week, I usually never work more than 6 hours per day nor do I have a long commute. My commute is me getting my ass out of bed, walking  a few feet over to my computer and turning the coffee  pot on. I like it haha.

I don’t know how long we will be living in a RV, but I am currently enjoying the simplicity of everything now. One thing I know is that after seeing the USA, we will be wanting to explore other countries. I want to learn other languages and experience other cultures. My current job is helping me not only improve my communication skills, but it also gives me a chance to  speak with people from all over the world. When I learn about different countries I get excited. What can I say, I’m an explorer – this is who I am.

Why I want to have OOBE’s…

Leave a comment Standard

Out of body experiences. Why? Well, because I have to. I have to. The moment I got into spirituality I wanted to astral project. I tried once and failed back in 2006 or 2007 and eventually found a psychic school where I focused on meditation, clairvoyance and energy healing. This school though was all about being IN the body. Sure there was some discussion and classes in regards to the astral, but most of the classes and trainings were about being present and in your physical body.  It is exactly what I needed at that time in my life and I will continue to use what I learned there the rest of my life. It is also helping me in my process of learning to lucid dream & have OOBE’s.

Some may wonder why someone would even want to do this. Lately, I have wondered the same for myself. Why do I want to do this? It feels the same when I signed up for my first clairvoyant training. I didn’t really know what I was getting into, but I knew I had to do it. This is just something I have to do. There is so much to explore, so much to learn and that is what excites me. I have used my clairvoyance and saw many mental image pictures about astral projection, but only have had a few out of body experiences. I want to do more than just see it, I want to experience it and that is what I am set out to do.

Here is a current list of things I would like to experience out of the body:

  1. I have already had an OOBE and saw my physical body, but I would like to experience this again.
  2. I want to meditate out of body. I want to know what it feels like running energy, getting grounded and using psychic abilities.
  3. I want to explore the planet and the rest of the universe.
  4. I want to gain a better understanding of my soul totality.
  5. I want to gain a better understanding of the astral.
  6. I want to learn the difference between lucid dreaming and astral projection.
  7. I want to visit my akashic records and explore it.
  8. I want to go to my threshold, the place where we go in between life-times.
  9. I want to explore more of my past-lives.
  10. I want to go back in time on the planet and I want to go into the future.
  11. I want to communicate with other beings on the astral.
  12. I want to continue to heal myself.
  13. I want to conquer certain fears I hold onto.
  14. I want to practice playing musical instruments while on the astral.
  15. I want to enhance my creativity.

I could probably think of more but this is a good list to start off with. I have many goals and many things I would like to experience, but I know this is a process. It is going to take some time just figuring the best method for me to have OOBE’s and then it may take some time to have them more frequently and for longer periods of time. I am 3.5 months into my journey of learning lucid dreaming and astral projection and I am stoked. There are times it can be incredibly frustrating but this is just one of those things I can’t let go. This practice really teaches you patience and commitment. Years ago I probably wouldn’t have been ready for this, but now… I am.
