Waking up is the BEST drug…

Leave a comment Standard

I remember my first spiritual awakening. I was reading the book, “You are the Answer,” by Michael Tamura. That is when it really hit me. It was then I realized that I am a spiritual being with a body. It was a wonderful feeling, so much that I cried amidst this discovery. I think people often think that once you have a spiritual awakening, then you are awake and that is it. I have found through my experiences that the process of waking up just keeps on going. I am still learning, growing, changing and healing. I am still waking up and it is the best fucking drug I have ever taken in my life…

I continue to realize that I really love being present. I love the feeling of it. I love being present in my physical body and I also love being conscious out of my body. I have an affinity for both. They are both amazing experiences.

I don’ think that waking up makes you better than other people. It’s a personal journey that increases your self-awareness. You are simply becoming aware of what you already know. Waking up has made me a better person. Waking up helps me walk down my own unique path. Because I have found something that helps me so much, I love to share it. I know there are others that want to wake up too. They want to know themselves. They want to know what their dreams are. I don’t have other peoples answers, but I do have tools to share so people can discover their answers on their own. When you discover your truth, quite naturally you start to cut the fat from your life. You cut the bullshit out. You don’t tolerate the invalidation. You begin to embrace your worth. When I was a student, my teacher told me that I didn’t know my worth and at that time I didn’t. I know my worth now and I continue to grow into it.

I think if people really knew what they were capable of and believed in their abilities they already have within themselves, life may be different. Life would be magical. Amazing things happen when there is a union of body and spirit. There is creativity and flow. I have to ask, what kind of life do you want live? What do you want to create?

Take the keys back, get in the fucking car and make this the best damn life you can imagine!

Andrew

Six Months of learning Lucid Dreaming

Comments 2 Standard

Okay so it has officially been six months of learning lucid dreaming and astral projection. I find it so interesting how this all started from just having one vivid dream. Anyway, I thought this would be good to write about so I can reflect on what I have achieved so far and also to let others know that the art of lucid dreaming is a skill that takes time to learn.

Although my dream recall ability has gotten better over time, it does fluctuate due to stress and running into energy blocks within yourself. I have been consistent with dream journaling and consider it a very important aspect of learning how to lucid dream. I personally believe it would be a mistake not to dream journal.

I had my first lucid experience when I was probably about 18 years old, but I had no idea what lucid dreaming was then. When I actually discovered lucid dreaming and started to practice it took me almost 2.5 months to have my first lucid dream. I’m sure there are people who have gotten quicker results and perhaps some people who have taken much longer. Everyone is different.

I started practicing 11/15/18 and here is a log of my lucid dreams & OOBE’s:

1/25/19 – My first intentional lucid dream

1/27/19 – I had a sequence of very short lucid dreams where I was becoming lucid and quickly losing lucidity. Most of my lucid dreams are short, but these were VERY short.

2/14/19: I woke up and saw hypnopompic imagery and it felt as though I was going to go straight into a lucid dream, but quickly decided to roll out of my body. I got out but felt so heavy and everything seemed dark. That is when I convinced myself I physically fell out of bed. I then crawled back in bed and then just woke up to realize it was an out of body experience.

3/11/19: – First time doing a reality check in a lucid dream

3/30/19 – First lucid dream where I experienced flying.

4/27/19: First Lucid dream where I tried telling other dream characters that it was a dream.

5/9/19: First time I turned a nightmare into a lucid dream. I also performed the nose reality check for the first time in this lucid dream.

I’ve had many more types of experiences throughout these past six months; dreams about lucid dreaming and astral projection, regular dream of having astral projection experiences, lower level lucidity in dreams where I experienced myself floating throughout the dream due to seeing my reflection, experiencing the vibrational stage, partial sleep paralysis, etc.

I’m happy with my results, but I have long way to go. I want to improve my dream recall, increase my rate of lucid dreams and be able to stabilize and have more vivid lucid dreams. This will all take time and that is okay. I am just going to continue dream journaling, doing reality checks and meditating.

I have also been experimenting with various supplements simply out of curiosity. I have no intention as of now to use any of these supplements on a regular basis. This is more for the sake of experimenting to see what kind fo results I get. I have tried Alpha Brain which really helped with dream recall and having a few vivid dreams. I have tried tea with valerian in it and I have gotten lucid from that, although I don’t know if that was simply a coincidence or not though. I’m also experimenting with Choline and 5-HTP. There are more supplements I do want to try, but will try them later.

Aside from dream journaling, reality checks and meditation, I have noticed (clairvoyantly) that getting enough sun exposure and doing cardio can also help with having more lucid dreams.

Anyway, I am just going to keep reporting my experiences and perhaps after another six months I will do a full year report on lucid dreaming & astral projection.

Turning a Nightmare into a Lucid Dream

Leave a comment Standard

I was having a dream in the kitchen of the house I grew up in. Suddenly, the dream shifted and I found myself outside the house. I saw my mother off in the distance and wanted to ask her a question, but before I could do that I grew fangs. I thought this was strange. Then eerie music began playing from the sky. I could sense this dream was turning into a nightmare and I wanted nothing to do with it. It was in that moment that I realized I was dreaming. I thought to myself, “it’s just a dream!” The music stopped playing and I was walking toward the driveway and while I was walking I tried to perform a reality check where I would put my hand through my other hand, but I was experiencing some effort so I abandoned that test. I told myself it was just a dream, so that I wouldn’t suddenly forget and slip back into a regular dream or a nightmare. I walked behind the house and performed a nose reality check. This is where you close your nostrils and try breathing. Well I did exactly that and I could feel the “air” flowing through. It confirmed I was dreaming, however, I must have gotten excited about doing a new reality check in a dream and woke myself up.

This was the first time that I turned a nightmare into a lucid dream and it was also the first time I did the nose reality check in a dream. This is progress. I want to share what I did yesterday that I believe helped me have this lucid dream:

  1. Performing different types of reality checks numerous times throughout the day
  2. Setting the intention to have a lucid dream numerous time throughout the day
  3. Drinking tea with valerian in it about 1.5 hours prior to falling asleep
  4. Talking about lucid dreaming with others
  5. Running Earth & Cosmic energies in meditation prior to going to sleep.

For more information about running earth & cosmic energies check out this youtube video I created: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5nGIKNP02M

Of course having a few lucid dreams in the recent past and being consistent with dream journaling are big factors as well. I’m starting to sense a shift in my practice and I feel as though I may start having lucid dreams slightly more consistently. I don’t mean every week, although that would be wonderful, but every few weeks instead of once a month. We shall see what happens…

Andrew

Premonitions

I had an interesting dream this morning. It was the last dream that I could recall. It wasn’t a lucid dream, but it ended up being a premonition. The dream was of me simply seeing a screen and I was on a Skype call with a woman with dark hair. Suddenly, the call got disconnected and then I woke up from the dream. Well, I did not think anything of it, however, once I started my job (teaching English online) I received a call from a woman with long dark hair. Similar to the one in my dream. Well, after a few minutes, the call got disconnected and it immediately reminded me of my dream.

I love working in this space. I have a great affinity for it and I feel as though I am just at the very beginning. It feels similar to when I was first learning clairvoyance. I’m a dreamer, but I always thought of it in a way of someone who just aims for their dreams. I didn’t fully realize that I would get this interested in lucid dreaming and astral projection – but I love it. There is just so much to learn and explore. This is something I am very passionate about and look forward to mastering.

Lately I have been dreaming about lucid dreaming, spirituality and astral projection. In one of my recent dreams it was a dream character that indirectly tipped me off that I was dreaming. He did not just come out and say, “Andrew – you’re dreaming,” but it was the topic of spirituality that caused me to do a reality check in the dream. I then became lucid in that particular dream, however, it doesn’t always work. I’ve had many dreams recently where there are these conversations around dreaming, but I don’t wake up fully in the dream.

I find the different types of dreams very fascinating. Some dreams I feel like I am just watching a movie and others I feel as though I am an active character in some sort of plot. Some dreams are more vivd than others and some dreams I even have some small degree of control. Then of course – the lucid dreams. I’m still working on being able to have them more often and to be able to stabilize them. This is process though. I am on journey and it is a lot of fun 🙂

Are you dreaming?

Traveling in a RV for One Year!

Comments 5 Standard

Wow. One year of living in a RV and traveling in the United Sates. We started in Pennsylvania, then New Jersey and made our way across the country to California. Currently we are in Utah exploring the national parks. This has been a massive growth period; learning how tow our fifth wheel, leveling the RV, making repairs, sustaining our new lifestyle financially, and so much more. We took a big risk selling our dog walking business a little over a year ago, but we managed to make this work. Sure there are a few things that frustrate me about living in an RV full-time, but I have zero regrets about embarking on this amazing journey.

I have always struggled living in one place. I never really liked it. I love having new experiences, meeting new people and seeing different places. This is my drug. This is what makes me feel present and feel alive. That doesn’t mean I don’t have any issues with this new lifestyle. One thing I struggle with is that I love travel and I also love music.  I find it much easier to practice music by having a rehearsal studio, a place where you can be as loud as you want. You can’t really do that in an RV. Sure, I can practice my acoustic guitar no problem, but playing drums or electric guitar – that becomes an issue.

Right now I am more focused on adventure, lucid dreaming, this blog, the podcast and our youtube channel. At some point I will want to bring music to the forefront. How that will play out, I am not sure. At the moment I am really enjoying exploring these national parks, going on hikes and feeling free.

What I love about traveling full-time is that everything feels like an adventure. I am always having to adapt and learn new things. This is good for me because I get bored way too easily. At the moment I think our goal is to visit all 50 states. It’s going to take time to achieve that. Sure you can rush through and see all 50 states, but we stay in each place typically for one month. During winter we stay in one place for four months. It is a slower process, but we get to see a lot. It is also much more affordable this way.

Everything has its cons and living an RV is no exception; waiting for hot water, making repairs, travel days are stressful, trains and highways can be noisy at RV parks, wireless internet is slower and more expensive, no dishwasher, dealing with propane, etc. Despite  these things, the good still outweighs the bad. I love the freedom that we have. And I still have a lot of college debt, but I still feel incredible free. I have my debt under control and feel confident I can clear it. If I feel this free with the amount of debt I have now, how will I feel when the debt is gone?

What will we do when we hit our goal of seeing all 50 states? I’m not sure, but most likely just continuing working on art and perhaps starting to explore other countries. Our travels will not end with America. Will we continue living in a RV after touring the U.S.? Who knows, only time will tell. What matters at this moment, is that I am happy. I am doing what I have always wanted to do – travel.

Find Your Freedom,

Andrew

What do we say to the God of Death?

Leave a comment Standard

Not today I thought, as I was ascending Angels Landing at Zion National park. It was the most intense and scariest hike I have ever completed. Apparently there have been 6 deaths since 2004 at Angels Landing, so yes it is very dangerous. You are holding onto chains as you climb up and can see right over the edge. Despite the fear, it was a very exciting and rewarding experience.

Recently I had a dream about death. I dreamt I was having health issues in my dream and then later thought I was dead. This really upset me in the dream and I quickly entered denial, so much so that I wanted to search for my physical body to see if in fact it was real. I never got around to finding my body in my dream, but it is very interesting how non lucid dreams can feel so real and be so convincing.

After having this vivid dream about death, I found myself lucid in another dream after a dream character talked about spirituality. I did a reality check and saw an old lady walking by and I was inclined to tell her that this was simply a dream. She didn’t want to hear it and ran off. I began getting very emotional at this point in the lucid dream and had to tell myself to calm down. The scene quickly changed to me being in a room with my wife and I again was compelled to let it be known that this was just a dream. I was trying to tell her and she didn’t want to hear it. I also did a reality check right in front of her. I was putting my hand through my other hand and I continued telling her it was just a dream. It clicked for her and she became very upset and went to hug me, but I woke up.

I’ve heard of other lucid dreamers doing this, but this was my first time telling other dream characters that it was a dream. I don’t think I am going to do this anymore because it doesn’t seem to do any good and eventually caused me to wake up.

I have so much to learn about lucid dreaming. There are many things I want to experiment with and explore. I have been doing a lot of meditation and readings around lucid dreaming and astral projection and I have been learning about how to prolong these experiences and how to have them more often. It is going to take me some time to experiment with what I have learned, but once I get a chance I will report back with what is working.
