Latest thoughts on Lucid Dreaming vs Astral Projection

Comment 1 Standard

Okay so I recently uploaded a podcast about my latest theory in regards to lucid dreaming and astral projection. In a previous blog I wrote on how I think they are essentially the same, but thought that the approach was different. Anyway, as I like to keep an open mind throughout this journey and with that said – my thoughts have changed about this subject.

I can’t remember but in a recent blog or podcast I mentioned that there are three factors in which I believe that will affect your experience:

  1. how conscious are you?
  2. are you a point of light or do you have a fully formed astral body?
  3. where are you on the astral?

After further research and looking at this clairvoyantly, I think that I am missing another factor:

  1. Are you in a dream?

Regardless of lucid dreaming or astral projection, I have always thought you were out of body, but now I do see more of a difference between these two and that is the last factor – are you in a dream?

What I think is that when you are leaving your body to go dream, you generate a dream through intention which then forms into a mental image picture and then once you are out onto the astral it manifests into a dream. I think with lucid dreaming, you are simply just aware you are in a dream, but perhaps not fully conscious that you are in a dream ON the astral. So of course this goes back to the first factor.

I imagine though the experience of being in a dream on the astral vs just being out on the astral is a different experience. The interesting thing here is that while you are in a lucid dream, what if you just dissolve the dream and end up on the astral? Some people report using lucid dreams to go back to their body during sleep paralysis then relaunch into the astral. I have also heard of someone being in a lucid dream and just ending or dissolving the dream to just be out on the astral.

Anyway, these are my latest thoughts on these subjects. I will continue to keep an open mind throughout this journey as i gain more experience, do more research and look at it all clairvoyantly.

Lucid Dreaming vs Astral Projection

Leave a comment Standard

Before I get started I just want to make it clear that I am not a seasoned lucid dreamer. With that said this is simply coming from the perspective of a clairvoyant and someone who has only had a few out of body experiences.

I remember watching two different youtube videos on how you can project from a lucid dream and after hearing the explanation I was little confused because to me it sounds like they are in an out of body state that they are just calling a “lucid dream” and then with intention going back to their physical body while already in an optimal state for projection and then actually project into the astral. Now from what I hear it can be easier to project from a lucid dream than going through sleep paralysis to get to a point of projection. That part makes sense to me because it has not been easy getting through sleep paralysis.

After watching these videos and doing some looking myself (as a clairvoyant) it seems to me that lucid dreaming and astral projection are simply the same expect the how you got there was different. In a lucid dream, you typically go to sleep and are unconscious. Something then happens in the dream and you become lucid and aware. With astral projection you are conscious through the entire experience of leaving your physical body.

I watched a youtube video recently and the guy was explaining what he thought was the difference between lucid dreams and astral projection. What he said made sense to me. He went on to say how they are all the same, however the main “difference” between them all is how aware you are out of the body. Perhaps it just the level of lucidity is what makes us create different categories. Because when I look it clairvoyantly, they all look the same –  you are out of your physical body and are in the astral.

People talk about their different experiences when in a lucid dream vs a projection. My theory is that, again, how lucid are you? My other question is, where are you on the astral? How does that affect your “experience?” Do any of these factors cause people to think they are experiencing some other form of a dream experience? I don’t know… Also something to consider is this: are you a point of light out in the astral? Or do you have control over a fully developed astral body?

What does it mean to be a point of light out in the astral? To me it simply means you the “being”, you the “soul” are out of your physical body with no form, no energetic body. Wait, don’t we all have astral bodies? Well, we all have the ability to generate one, but our experiences both in the body and out of the body can affect our ability to create an astral body and the general form our our dream body. This is why exercise and meditation can be so important. When you exercise you get your energy in movement. If you can move energy throughout the energy system in the physical body, then you can create an astral body much easier. You can also run energy in mediation. You can cycle your own energy throughout your energy system while meditating. I think mediation and exercise directly affect our ability to recall dreams, the overall development of your dream body and can help with having better overall sleep.

So, to me lucid dreaming and astral projection are the same. I think with both you are just out of your body, but perhaps with a different level of awareness. I also think that if you are just a spec of light vs in control of a dream body will greatly affect the experience. And how developed is your astral body? Certain days might be different. You could be missing an astral leg. Do you have an energy blockage in your actual physical leg? How does affect your dream experience?

There are so many factors, but I think it is all the same essentially. Keep in mind this is just a theory. I still have a lot of learning to do. Perhaps I will confirm this with having more out of body experiences or perhaps when I have more OBEs I will change my mind.

What are your thoughts?

Telekinesis in Dreams

Leave a comment Standard

For 1.5 months I have been spending more time doing energy work and mediation to improve dream recall, lucid dreaming and astral projection. I have been recording my dreams every morning and it has helped greatly with remembering. I have had a few unique experiences during this time period:

  1. Sleep Paralysis – I have attempted a direct method of astral projection a few times which involves putting your body to sleep and keeping your mind awake. I have not  had success, but I have made progress with it. It is certainly a strange experience feeling yourself loose control.
  2. Returning to Waking Reality – I had an experience where I woke up and instead of moving around, I remained still and immediately though of astral projection. I attempted and failed though.
  3. Vibrational State? – I have attempted numerous times to reach this state, but always failed. Apparently you have this experience right before projecting. The strange thing is that I had a dream in which I started to notice discrepancies in the dream and then I started floating. Once this happened I exited the dream and then I felt like someone was shoving me into my physical body and it moved my attention right into the center of my brain. I immediately felt vibrations and heard a  loud noise in my head. I also saw some light flashing in front of me. It was very brief but this happened twice in one week.
  4. Dreaming about Astral Projection? – I had a dream recently about finally projecting partially out of my body. What I saw was dark space with green lights and it felt like   there was a lot of movement. When I woke up in the morning I remembered this and couldn’t tell if that happened or if it was just a dream. I’m pretty certain it was just a dream.
  5. Telekinesis in Dreams – I’ve had a fascination with telekinesis for a very long time. Last night in my dreams I ended up in my parents house at night. I noticed my reflection in a silver plate. After that I started doing telekinesis by opening and closing a door without touching it. I then proceeded to float or levitate the remainder of the dream.

With all of the experiences I have had and my ability to recall my dreams, in my opinion I am doing pretty well so far. I definitely get frustrated, but usually when I do a few days after something tends to happen…

Do you have lucid dreams or astral projection? Are they the same thing essentially?

Astral Projection: Vibrational State

Leave a comment Standard

Well, it happened again! I reached the vibrational state. Again for those that do not know what this is all about, it is a state in which you enter prior to having an out of body experience. I have been practicing dream recall and and astral projection for just over a month now and finally – I am making progress.

I woke up around 3AM this morning and decided to make an attempt at astral projection.  I tried a different sleeping position and it seemed to work because it has was the furthest I ever got with sleep paralysis. I will stop here. I can hear everyone thinking – why the fuck would you want to get into sleep paralysis, that sounds scary. Haha! Well, when you first start to do it, it is a little scary to be honest, but after a while you start to get used to it.

Anyway, this was the furthest I have went with putting my body to sleep. It felt very different this time, like I could really feel my body tightening up and really losing control of my body. It took me a while just to get my breathing down and then I became more calm.  After being in this state for a while, I decided to stop. I didn’t like the position I was in and I didn’t feel like it was progressing so I just stopped. So – I went to sleep.

I started to have a dream where I was at an RV Park with my wife. For some reason I was holding a mail box, like the entire mailbox – pole and box together. I thought it would be smart to put it in the truck and then drive to our spot. When I went around the corner our truck was no longer there. I found this odd. Once that happened as I was trying to walk forward I began floating. Bam! I ended up back in my physical body with a loud sound in my head and then the vibrations hit me. I felt like I was on my way to leaving, but then everything stopped. I was sad, but again still excited because I am making progress.

With finally hitting this stage, I feel better. For a while there I felt like I was never going to get anywhere. Now I imagine it will take some time to get past this vibrational state and finally project!

Astral Projection: My Progress…

Leave a comment Standard

For the past month I have been doing the following; recording my dreams, doing reality checks and practicing astral projection. It has been a rollercoaster ride to say the least. Once I started keeping a dream log my ability to recall dreams started to turn back on. Sure there were a few mornings I could not remember, but for most of the month I had no issues.

I have also been doing reality checks which is simply asking yourself, “am I dreaming?” Normally I just try to put my hand through my other hand to prove to myself that I am not currently dreaming. The idea is that if I do this more often in my waking reality then it may also occur in my dream reality. In my dream reality I should be able to put my hand through my other hand. If that were to happen then I would be able to become lucid in the dream.

My biggest frustration with this process has been attempting astral projection. This is what I am really going after and have been failing to do for an entire month. I have been learning to put my body to sleep, so that I could continue on with the other stages of astral projection. I am able to go into some degree of sleep paralysis, but sometimes I am never sure if fully made it. Learning this at first is scary because once this process hits your chest area and throat it gets weird. At first I felt panic, like maybe I was going to die, but over time I became more comfortable with the process.

Despite getting comfortable it get can very discouraging to attempt astral projection. There is a lot of time and energy that goes into it. There have been many road blocks that I have been facing such as fear, finding a good sleeping position, being in the unknown, feeling the various sensations, etc.

Last night I tried listening to a different youtube video on binaural beats. I have listened to other videos in the past and they seem to work, but never one hundred percent. So, I decided to try this new one and the same thing happened – nothing. So, I went to sleep as usual. I have been getting used to failure so it doesn’t make me as irritated. Anyway, I eventually wake up a few hours later and something strange happened. I was in sleep paralysis to some degree, felt weird sensations in my nose and face and then it felt as if someone was behind me pushing me into the center of my brain. Once that happened a blue outline lit up around me and I started to hear this intense high pitched sound which then was accompanied by these vibrations. It was finally happening. I reached the vibrational stage – the stage where you actually feel yourself vibrating with intensity. The vibrations were growing and I started to see a teal dot light up in front of me. I felt like I was going to blast out of my body at any second… but then it stopped. Nothing happened. I was sad, but also super excited that I finally reached this stage. I thought maybe in the past I had reached it, but now I know this was the first time. To be honest though, years ago I remember living in Chicago and I woke up one night in bed and i felt like i was being electrocuted. I wonder if I was having similar experience.

Anyway, for those that are new to this topic, reaching the vibrational stage is important because you usually experience that right before you project. This is huge for me. I can’t wait to continue improving my dream recall and working on projection.

Something that occurred to me recently was that I truly have the spirit of an adventurer, not only as a traveler, but as an out of body traveler. I know I will breakthrough and achieve this. This is something that I have been wanting to do since 2006. It is finally all coming back to me and I am ready! Until next time…

Learning Astral Projection

Leave a comment Standard

I started to do a very extensive healing on myself. One that I would only normally do for clients that were long distance. When I did this, experienced a very vivid dream. And that is where it all started… Well, actually it all started back in 2006…

When i started to get into spirituality, the first thing I wanted to do was to astral project. I didn’t have any success, but I did start taking meditation classes at a psychic school. From there I entered a year long clairvoyant training and then went on to do more spiritual trainings. Over the course of my entire life, I have had three lucid dreams.

  1. I was in my late teens, living at my parents and I fell asleep in my room.  I woke up in my dream and came to realize I could control my dream, so I decided to manifest a Rammstein Concert right in front of me. And…. that is exactly what happened. The dream didn’t last long though.
  2. I was living in Chicago, probably in my early 20’s and fell asleep in my apartment. I woke up in my parents house and it was dark. I noticed my glowing arms and then looked at the wall. I thought to myself, let’s see what happens if I put my hand through the wall. I started to put my hand through the wall and it felt very dense. At that point I got scared and woke up in my bed in Chicago.
  3. The last lucid dream I had happened in Chicago. I was at a friends house sleeping on the floor. I woke up in my dream and it was pitch black all around. I noticed light below me and shifted my attention there. I looked down and started to recognize my two friends sitting in the living room. I then noticed my physical body sleeping on the floor. I got scared and woke up.

Despite having an affinity for dreaming, for many years I went without keeping a dream journal or sometimes not even remembering my dreams. But that is all changing now. I have been keeping a dream journal for at least a week now and have attempted to Astral Project numerous times. I have failed every time, but I am making progress. It is this process of letting go of fear and dropping expectations. Essentially, I get comfortable in bed and consciously start to put my body to sleep while keeping my mind awake. It is the most bizarre experience I’ve had in a long time. What starts to happen is my legs and arms start to lose feeling and go numb. Then this numb feeling climbs up to my chest and that is when my heart rate picks up and I feel like i might die. I tried a few more times and finally moved beyond this. Another weird thing is when your lips, tongue and throat start going numb. This is also a very uncomfortable stage to work through. You have to keep yourself propped up just enough so saliva will just fall down your throat so you don’t have the urge to swallow. Once you try to move, it slows down and even reverses this whole process of putting your body to sleep.

There are a few stages that follow putting your body to sleep that I have not gotten to yet, but once I do I will write a blog about it. I am really excited about this. I am just going to keep going until I have my first astral projection. I imagine from that point things will get a little easier. I really wonder how succeeding at this will affect me as a creator. I feel as though I could really enhance my creativity.

Anyway that is what I have been up to lately. My wife and I are leaving Tucson, AZ and will be heading to southern California for the winter. Until next time…

Dream On

Leave a comment Standard

Dreaming have always been a fascination of mine. There are many forms of dreams; day dreams, sleeping dreams and the dreams you want to achieve. When I look at day dreaming, it is kind of like spacing out or resting on the couch, but not falling completely to sleep. We can experience anxiety in our day dreams, but can also gain inspiration from our day dreams. Sometimes when I have a creative block, I allow myself to day dream. Images and ideas eventually come to me which I end up using in my art.

I have an affinity for sleeping. When my body is at rest, I am able to travel the astral. Most of the time I am not conscious while sleeping, but I have experienced lucid dreaming a few times. When I was younger I became aware that I was dreaming and started to control my dreams. I recall wanting to go to a music concert and just with that thought, I altered my dreams and a rock concert appeared. There was another time where I was living in Chicago and I was asleep. Again, I woke up in my dreams and found myself in the house I grew up in, which was in a completely different part of the country. I remember looking at my astral body hands and then trying to walk through walls. I didn’t make it all the way through the wall because it felt very weird and I ended up waking up from my sleep.

I think all the different forms of dreams are all connected. What I day dream and dream at night about are usually related to the dreams I want to achieve. My dreams are filled with music, writing, comedy, teaching, energy work, etc. Sure I’ve had my fair share of nightmares. They have surfaced in my waking life, day dreams and sleeping dreams. I look at nightmares as energy, energy from someone or somewhere else that I have resisted and allowed to enter my space. I’ve learned that blaming and complaining won’t do anything. It is simply a matter of making a choice to move it out and to embrace your truth.

When I first got into spirituality I was all about astral projection. I wanted to have these amazing out of body experiences. Over time what I have learned is that what makes me the most happy is when I am experiencing a dream in the body. What does that even mean? From my perspective, what it looks like for someone to be experiencing a dream in their waking life is when their astral body and physical body are synced up. In addition to that, a person is grounded (connected to the earth) and aligned with their higher-self (purpose). Their energy is in movement and they are present. That scenario is what I call – MAGIC.

What do you day dream about? Have you ever had a lucid dream? What dreams do you want to achieve this life-time?

I offer a reading on the dream space which includes an astral body healing at the end. If you are looking for clarity or healing in this space, go check it out on our web site.
