Starting Yoga

Leave a comment Standard

The first time I tried yoga was in college. I think I did it maybe one more time after and that was it. It just wasn’t really my thing. I did, however, get into meditation. I really enjoyed it and it seemed to come natural for me. Eventually I started teaching meditation and one of the places I taught a series at was a yoga studio. The owner was trying to get me to take a class and I just wasn’t having it. I already tried it and it just wasn’t for me.

Aside from the not feeling yoga the first time around, I’ve always had a strong resistance to it. If I was going to do something physical I preferred going for a run or throwing some gloves on and hitting a bag. Now that my wife is teaching yoga, I have seen how it has impacted her, not just physically, but her energy as well. I see a stronger woman, all around. Lately, she has been teaching me yoga and yesterday was the first day I felt strong. It felt good, but that is not how I was feeling the first few times she taught me. My body felt very uncomfortable and oddly enough I was getting really angry. Most of the time it would subside and I would feel more at peace at the end.

Aside from flexibility, strength and balance, I see yoga as a way of moving out pain and foreign energy to bring your own energy in to replace it. Essentially you are going deeper into your body. As I am getting more accustom to yoga I am able to use my clairvoyance with it. It will be interesting to see what chakras are impacted by certain poses that we do.

Starting yoga was not something I expected, but that seems to be a theme in my life as of lately. It’s nice to be able to not only surprise others, but surprise yourself. I just want to continue to become more healthy and to get better at being present.

the Book that Changed Everything

Leave a comment Standard

It wasn’t until my second semester at Columbia College Chicago that my roommate opened up to me about spirituality. I learned that he took some classes out in California on meditation. I was really interested in everything that he shared, so he let me borrow a book that would change everything. The book is called, “You Are the Answer,” by Michael Tamura. Michael is a clairvoyant, healer and spiritual teacher. The book has all to do with the title.

This is the type of book you can read, put back on the shelf and a few years later pick back up and learn something new, or at the very least, remind yourself of something important. Reading this book for me was the beginning of me waking up. I actually remember crying while reading this book. I don’t think I have ever cried reading a book before.

At the end of the book there are basic exercises that you can do. My roommate was already familiar with them and helped guide me through them. Most likely after seeing how much I was into it all, my roommate setup an appointment for us to get aura readings. I never had a reading before, but I had an open mind. The reading I got was accurate, but I was almost more interested in how they did that… That is when I learned that you could take meditation, healing and clairvoyant classes at this school. And that is exactly what I did.

The funny thing is that the director of the psychic school I went to actually knew Michael Tamura. They both learned from the same spiritual teacher. The exercises in the back of “You are the Answer,” were also taught at the school I went to. It’s like that book was a stepping stone, an introduction. Moving to Chicago, meeting my roommate, reading this book and going to a psychic school had a huge impact on me. I learned a lot about who I am and learned how to heal myself. These are tools I will use the rest of my life.

If you are interested in meditation, healing or clairvoyance, I would highly recommend checking this book out. Here is the link: You Are the Answer

Healing your Memories

Leave a comment Standard

We all have a few memories that contain a lot of resistance. Maybe it is something someone said or something they did. It could be as simple as a conversation or something very traumatic. Despite the experience being in the past, you still have a memory with negative energy attached to it. The usual suspects are pain, punishment and invalidation. Now, if you have a memory that you never healed from, for example, you never found forgiveness or neutrality, then a good question to ask is, how is that memory still impacting your life today?

Do you have issues with getting safe and grounded? Do you have difficulty trusting yourself and others? If you have a recurring issue arise throughout your life, it is possible that you may have a particular memory that has not been cleared. Finding your freedom is like peeling back the layers of an onion. There may be numerous memories that you have look through before finding the root cause. This is usually not a fun and easy process. Normally we just want to forget the pain and move on, but sometimes it is necessary going all the way back in time and confronting it. The healing is not so much about forgetting, but is about de-charging the core memory. Letting go all the resistance, pain and invalidation can be a great relief and even life changing. Some tools that help with the healing process are forgiveness, neutrality and amusement.

All healing is self-healing. When I do energy work with clients all I am doing is working with the energy of forgiveness and giving them permission to release. It is up to the client on how much they are willing to let go. Coming to a point where you can find forgiveness, acceptance and amusement with a dark time in your life can seem impossible and maybe even absurd, but healing is a choice. You can remain in the role of a victim or you can you build up your courage, overcome and take back your personal power. I believe in the human spirit. I believe that we are all stronger than our greatest limitation. It is just a matter of finding that inner strength. Maybe you don’t have anyone in your life that believes in you, but you can believe in yourself.

Self-Mastery

Leave a comment Standard

We have a tendency to search outside of ourselves for our answers. Maybe it’s the priest, your mother, or a book. Theres nothing wrong with going to someone for help, but there is a difference between someone trying to help you using neutrality versus someone telling you what you should do. We often hear, well if I were you, I would do this… The thing is, they are not you and your life is not theirs. What does is it mean to seek help in someone who is neutral? Well, maybe they offer you tools so you can better find your answers or they may just be there to listen. They may simply ask questions that end up helping you find clarity. So to make it clear, I think there is absolutely no problem asking for help, but there is another way to find your answers.

There is a world that exists within yourself, an internal landscape – your energy system. Your energy system is comprised of chakras and channels. A chakra is an energy center that sends and receives information. There are seven major chakras in your body. Your chakras are very much associated with your skills and abilities. For example, your first chakra (root chakra) is associated with your ability to provide for yourself and others. Aside from chakras, there are channels in your energy system. These channels simply connect all of your chakras in your body, so that energy can flow naturally. Channel are like rivers. When they are clear, energy moves through with ease. When there is a block in your energy system, it is kind of like a dam. Everything gets held up. Movement is restricted and you will start to notice it in your everyday life.

Your energy system is like a motherboard in a computer. Then there is software which consists of applications and programs. In regards to your energy system, the big question is – are you running on your programs or someone elses programs? Another way to put would be, your truth versus someone elses truth. When you start to wakeup and begin to direct your attention to within yourself, it becomes an energy game. You start to feel, hear, see and know your energy and others energies. When you have a strong sense of your energy, embrace it and make it number one – a shift begins to happen. A chakra emits a layer of your aura. Your aura is that energy field around your physical body. Some call it their personal bubble or space, but essentially it is your reality, what is REAL for you. Now, if you start to make your energy number one in a chakra, the layer of your aura that it emits will be affected. Change happens from within and slowly over time, your transformation will manifest.

Something interesting happens when you go within and embrace your energy. You start to develop a relationship with your higher-self. Your higher-self is there to guide you. It is the parent aspect of your soul willing to hold your hand as you walk the path of your truth. When your energy system is running on other peoples energy or programs, it is difficult for your higher-self to direct you, but when you are in agreement with your own energy, it is much easier for that wise part of you to lead you. Going within and connecting with my higher-self is my primary way of getting my answers. It is not the only way, but it is my go to.

Meditation, healing and self-discovery are all about going within to that profound and remarkable internal landscape. You may encounter some bumps on your journey. You may run into darkness and you may revisit some difficult memories or your past, but when you arm yourself with light, forgiveness and neutrality – you embrace the art of self-mastery.

How to Meditate

Leave a comment Standard

Have you ever thought about meditating, but you just don’t know where to start? Look no further, I am here to help! I am going to provide a free step by step guide on how to ground. What is grounding? It is your connection to the Earth. Why is that important? Grounding has all to do with getting your body safe and releasing negative energy. Sounds great, how do you do it? Well the style of meditation that I teach is visual meditation. Let’s get started!

  1. Find a quiet space, sit in a chair and have your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Close your eyes and take a big deep breath in. Exhale. Again, take another big deep breath in and exhale.
  3. Notice where you attention is. Wherever it is, is fine, but bring your attention to your physical body. Your physical body is always in present time.
  4. Say hello to the base of your spine. This is the location of your first chakra, often referred to as the root chakra.
  5. Imagine a telephone pole where one end connects to the base of your spine (root chakra) and the other descends all the way to the center of the Earth. Take a moment and allow that to establish.
  6. Take a big deep breath in. Exhale. What you just created, was essentially a line of energy from your first chakra all the way to core of the Earth. This is your grounding cord, this is your relationship with the Earth.
  7. Now that you are grounded, your body is safe, you have more permission to be present and you have a way to clear unwarned energy.
  8. Bring you attention back behind your eyes. Take a big deep breath in and exhale.
  9. Notice what it is like to be grounded. If there has been any energy bothering you recently, go ahead and give yourself permission to release it down your grounding cord. It is kind of like flushing the toilet. There is no need to fix, solve or analyze, just let it go.
  10. Take a big deep breath in, exhale and come out of meditation.

That is grounding. This is the foundation to everything I teach. Grounding is all about safety, releasing unwanted energy, realness and being present. I teach grounding in a FREE YouTube video. If you happen to like this blog and / or video on grounding, I do teach more about this topic and many other topics in the Art of Mediation I Series. But Andrew, you travel in an RV full-time how will you teach me? Two ways, I can either teach you over the phone or you can purchase my videos on VIMEO. If you want to learn meditation, are low on cash, but are self-motivated – I would go for the videos on Vimeo. If you really want that one on one experience, then I would suggest the class series via the phone. All of the links can be found below. Enjoy!

Psychic School

Leave a comment Standard

You went to a psychic school? What are you, nuts? Yes, I did go to a psychic school. Most people don’t know that about me, but for those that do, they probably think I am crazy – haha. The school that I went to, and yes there a numerous schools around the United States, but the one I went to offered classes on meditation, energy healing, kundalini, clairvoyance, the astral body and more. It was awesome!

Now I know there is negative connotation attached to the word psychic. Most people think that it is fake and it is just scammers trying to get money out of you. First of all if it was fake, I wouldn’t have continued taking the classes at the school nor would I be teaching or offering readings. I teach meditation because it worked for me and I want to share that with others. When people think about psychic readings they think its just about people making predictions. Sure as a clairvoyant you can see the energy of the past, present and future, however, during a reading I don’t make predictions because we have free will and things change. Simple as that. I’m not interested in programming people or setting them up for disappointment.

For me, being psychic is all about being sensitive and aware of energy. There are different ways to perceive energy. Most people experience this type, but may not consider it a psychic experience. Most people can feel energy. We often notice it when meeting someone new or during job interviews. You feel a vibe. You are picking up on the energy. There are other ways to perceive energy which are less common; hearing energy, seeing energy and knowing energy. I focus on seeing energy. That is called clairvoyance. It is the ability to see the world, yourself and others with clarity.

Going to the psychic school was a time of healing and self-discovery. I had to the ability to see my identity, dreams and truth. Going through the classes and trainings I did notice immediate positive results, but it also can impact the remainder of your life. Just because you learn something doesn’t always mean it will become real immediately. I graduated from my fist training ten years ago. I am still noticing things unfolding because of that training. It is a very bizarre, but certainly a rewarding experience.

I’m not saying everyone needs to go to a psychic school. I’m just putting it out there that I did go to one and that I had a positive experience. Because of the experiences I had going through all the classes and trainings, they are the reasons I teach. I love providing tools for people so they can heal themselves and see more clearly. Teaching clairvoyance is just reminding students that they have their own telescope and flashlight. It turns them on to not only seeing clearly, but also bringing light to darkness.

Yes, I went to a psychic school. Yes, I teach meditation. Yes, I do energy healing. Yes, I do psychic readings. And yes, I absolutely love it!
