3 Months of Dream Journaling

Leave a comment Standard

I have been dream journaling for three months now and it has really helped with my ability to remember my dreams. One might ask, why do you even want to remember your dreams? Well, my main intention for it is to have lucid dreams. What are lucid dreams you ask? It’s a good question because most people do not know what a lucid dream is. It is when you know you are dreaming while you are in a dream. Essentially you wake up in your dream. Pretty cool right?  So, how does dream journaling help with lucid dreaming?

Prior to recording my dreams, I usually did not remember any of my dreams upon awakening. After three months of dream journaling though, now I can remember at least 1-6 dreams per 7-9 hours of sleep. Having a dream journal helps with shining a light on your dream space. Most people don’t think they even dream at night because they can’t remember. If you start recording dreams, you will start to increase your dream recall ability. This helps with bringing awareness to your dream space and having awareness in this particular aspect of your life is exactly what lucid dreaming is all about.

Dreams can be very bizarre, yet as strange as they can be, we don’t question them. Well, what if you did start to question them? What if you asked yourself, “am I dreaming?” Two things could happen, you could somehow convince yourself that everything is normal and carry on as normal or you may realize that of course, it just a dream. That is when you begin having a lucid dream. From that point on you have the potential of controlling your dream.

For most, lucid dreaming seems to be uncommon. Most people I have talked to about it don’t know what it is and never had the experience. To my surprise though I have come across a few people that lucid dream a few times a month or even a few times a week. I personally had one lucid dream when I was younger which was spontaneous. Just recently during my three months of dream journaling and practice, I have had one solid lucid dream. So it seems dream journaling isn’t necessary to lucid dream, but it can certainly help.

For me this is a process of waking up. I love clarity. I love to be aware. I love to know my truth. My journey with clairvoyance has helped me greatly with this in the past. It is also helping me with my journey in lucid dreaming & astral projection. I am very excited with this next part of my spiritual journey. I have a lot of goals with achieving out of body experiences and having lucid dreams and I can’t wait to share that with others. I am also eager to see how this will impact me as a creator; with my writing, filming, music and more.

Are you dreaming?

the Importance of Dreaming

Comments 2 Standard

I have the opportunity to speak to people from all around the world almost everyday. At some point in my conversations I always like to ask – what are your dreams? Some people will tell me what they are and others say they don’t have any dreams… I don’t buy it. I think we all have dreams, small or big, I think we all have them, but might not be aware of them. Some people think they don’t have dreams when they sleep. Well actually, you are most likely having numerous dreams throughout the night, but again, you may just not remember.

I have an obsession with dreams; day dreams, sleeping dreams and the dreams in which you pursue in your life. I think a lot of people may believe that day dreaming is just a natural phenomena that occurs, but has no use whatsoever. I disagree. Day Dreaming for me is a way in which I generate new ideas that aide in my creative process. What about sleeping dreams? What if you could wake up in your dreams and know you are dreaming, while in the dream? Some call this dream yoga and others may call this lucid dreaming. It is actually scientifically proven. Aside from having fun, some say lucid dreaming can be used to heal yourself and to work on new skills. I am still new to lucid dreaming so the fun part I fully understand, however, I have not had enough experiences to use lucid dreams for healing and personal growth. I kind of get it though… What if you were having a nightmare in your sleep and suddenly realized it was simply a bad dream you were having? Once you become aware, then you can change what is happening. You can end the nightmare. For those who experience recurring nightmares, this would be huge. You can apply this to regular life too. Perhaps you are unhappy, I mean very unhappy. Maybe it has to do with a certain aspect of your life. What if what you were doing had nothing to do with your truth? What if you were just living someone else’s expectation? After a while that could certainly start to feel like a nightmare. Now what if you start to realize that and start to make changes? What if you start to move in a new direction, a direction of authenticity? Perhaps now you are seeing the similarities with sleeping dreams & dreams  your pursue…

Some people say they don’t have dreams for this life. I disagree. It can be simple, small or a massive dream – but it is there, waiting for you to wake up to it. For some reason it seems we are led to believe that because we don’t remember our dreams (while asleep or for your life) then we just don’t have any. And sometimes for those that do have an awareness of the dream they want to pursue feel as though it isn’t a real possibility. I disagree.

I have been learning how to lucid dream for over two months now and it is not easy. I have been pursuing my dreams since I was about twenty-three. Again, it is not easy. I think they are important though. I think they are the reasons we are here. Dreams are highly desired experiences we crave. Your purpose? Well perhaps it has to do with the WHY you want to have these particular experiences? What will you learn from these experiences? How might you share your wisdom with the world?

Dream on.

My First Intentional Lucid Dream

Leave a comment Standard

Finally! I had my first intentional lucid dream and I say intentional because I have had a spontaneous lucid dream before.

Okay, so this whole experience was rather ironic because todays blog was actually going to be about my frustrations with lucid dreaming and how I have to stay focused and committed. Luckily and to my surprise, this is a very different blog.

I waited for my wife to go start work, which is not very far away (she teaches english online in our RV). I have been using my wifes work alarm as a reminder to do the WBTB method (wake back to bed) and then use the MILD technique which entails dream affirmations. I kicked the pets out of the bedroom so I wouldn’t have any distractions as our cat loves to walk on top of me and wake me up.

So, I started with the dream affirmations such as, “I’m going to lucid dream,” or “I will wake up in my next dream…” But that is when things went downhill. My mind became very awake, to the point it was too difficult to fall asleep. Then my cat started scratching and body slamming the door. Suddenly I felt myself getting hungry. All I could think about was how I was frustrated with trying lucid dreaming and astral projection techniques. I thought about how my dream recall seemed to be weakening. I thought about how I could remember more details the week before. I thought what was the point? Why was I meditating? Why I was I putting so much energy into something that wasn’t providing any results. I was frustrated. I almost just got up to start my day early. I thought about my first cup of coffee. But I was still tired. So I turned to my side and just closed my eyes and drifted off.

I had a dream where I was in a house which was actually being used as a set for a TV show. I was in a room where they were not filming and was waiting there with one other person who happened to be dressed up in some strange costume. We got to talking and were joking around about how we were at the bottom of the totem pole regarding our status in the acting world. The dream ended.

A new dream began. It is still blurry to me but what I remember was I was outside with a few people. I mainly remember my wife and some other guy. Something happened that scared everyone and we all became on high alert. I ran down a hill to my wife and this guy who were next to a structure that looked kind of like a fifth wheel RV. I looked down at the ground and saw a weapon on the ground. I wanted a weapon, but this particular one did not seem like it would be useful, so I left it and continued down the hill to investigate. What I remember next is me at the bottom of the hill turning around to look up the hill and that is when I saw that everyone was gone. The guy was gone, my wife not there and that structure disappeared. It was an empty hill. And that is when it hit me. I AM DREAMING. It is one of the coolest feelings to have that run through your head. My mind felt so clear in that moment. Immediately after I told myself REMAIN CALM… and so i did. I didn’t feel scared or anxious. I started having thoughts about using my psychic abilities, like to use my clairvoyance or to get myself grounded, but I thought I should just explore because I didn’t want the dream to end. I got up on the ledge and pulled myself up and started walking up another part of the hill. As I was walking though, I heard someone behind me say hello. I immediately didn’t like the energy of the voice. I didn’t like the tone. I turned around and didn’t see anyone, but there were a lot trees in the way. What I did see was an owl in a tree. I sensed it was the owl that was trying to talk to me. So, I used telekinesis to pull the bird out of the tree and had it right in front of me, but then I woke up. Haha. The dream was short, just like the spontaneous lucid dream that I had when I was younger, but finally – I did it!

I was so frustrated. I wasn’t going to throw in the towel, but I was definitely going to write about how irritated I was and try to remind myself to stay on track. It’s funny, it seems when you are about to give up or just kind of let go or stop trying so hard, things seem to fall in place.

Anyway, I am super excited. I can’t wait to have more lucid dreams (hopefully longer dreams) and share them with you 🙂

Lucid Dreaming vs Astral Projection

Leave a comment Standard

Before I get started I just want to make it clear that I am not a seasoned lucid dreamer. With that said this is simply coming from the perspective of a clairvoyant and someone who has only had a few out of body experiences.

I remember watching two different youtube videos on how you can project from a lucid dream and after hearing the explanation I was little confused because to me it sounds like they are in an out of body state that they are just calling a “lucid dream” and then with intention going back to their physical body while already in an optimal state for projection and then actually project into the astral. Now from what I hear it can be easier to project from a lucid dream than going through sleep paralysis to get to a point of projection. That part makes sense to me because it has not been easy getting through sleep paralysis.

After watching these videos and doing some looking myself (as a clairvoyant) it seems to me that lucid dreaming and astral projection are simply the same expect the how you got there was different. In a lucid dream, you typically go to sleep and are unconscious. Something then happens in the dream and you become lucid and aware. With astral projection you are conscious through the entire experience of leaving your physical body.

I watched a youtube video recently and the guy was explaining what he thought was the difference between lucid dreams and astral projection. What he said made sense to me. He went on to say how they are all the same, however the main “difference” between them all is how aware you are out of the body. Perhaps it just the level of lucidity is what makes us create different categories. Because when I look it clairvoyantly, they all look the same –  you are out of your physical body and are in the astral.

People talk about their different experiences when in a lucid dream vs a projection. My theory is that, again, how lucid are you? My other question is, where are you on the astral? How does that affect your “experience?” Do any of these factors cause people to think they are experiencing some other form of a dream experience? I don’t know… Also something to consider is this: are you a point of light out in the astral? Or do you have control over a fully developed astral body?

What does it mean to be a point of light out in the astral? To me it simply means you the “being”, you the “soul” are out of your physical body with no form, no energetic body. Wait, don’t we all have astral bodies? Well, we all have the ability to generate one, but our experiences both in the body and out of the body can affect our ability to create an astral body and the general form our our dream body. This is why exercise and meditation can be so important. When you exercise you get your energy in movement. If you can move energy throughout the energy system in the physical body, then you can create an astral body much easier. You can also run energy in mediation. You can cycle your own energy throughout your energy system while meditating. I think mediation and exercise directly affect our ability to recall dreams, the overall development of your dream body and can help with having better overall sleep.

So, to me lucid dreaming and astral projection are the same. I think with both you are just out of your body, but perhaps with a different level of awareness. I also think that if you are just a spec of light vs in control of a dream body will greatly affect the experience. And how developed is your astral body? Certain days might be different. You could be missing an astral leg. Do you have an energy blockage in your actual physical leg? How does affect your dream experience?

There are so many factors, but I think it is all the same essentially. Keep in mind this is just a theory. I still have a lot of learning to do. Perhaps I will confirm this with having more out of body experiences or perhaps when I have more OBEs I will change my mind.

What are your thoughts?

Astral Projection: Vibrational State

Leave a comment Standard

Well, it happened again! I reached the vibrational state. Again for those that do not know what this is all about, it is a state in which you enter prior to having an out of body experience. I have been practicing dream recall and and astral projection for just over a month now and finally – I am making progress.

I woke up around 3AM this morning and decided to make an attempt at astral projection.  I tried a different sleeping position and it seemed to work because it has was the furthest I ever got with sleep paralysis. I will stop here. I can hear everyone thinking – why the fuck would you want to get into sleep paralysis, that sounds scary. Haha! Well, when you first start to do it, it is a little scary to be honest, but after a while you start to get used to it.

Anyway, this was the furthest I have went with putting my body to sleep. It felt very different this time, like I could really feel my body tightening up and really losing control of my body. It took me a while just to get my breathing down and then I became more calm.  After being in this state for a while, I decided to stop. I didn’t like the position I was in and I didn’t feel like it was progressing so I just stopped. So – I went to sleep.

I started to have a dream where I was at an RV Park with my wife. For some reason I was holding a mail box, like the entire mailbox – pole and box together. I thought it would be smart to put it in the truck and then drive to our spot. When I went around the corner our truck was no longer there. I found this odd. Once that happened as I was trying to walk forward I began floating. Bam! I ended up back in my physical body with a loud sound in my head and then the vibrations hit me. I felt like I was on my way to leaving, but then everything stopped. I was sad, but again still excited because I am making progress.

With finally hitting this stage, I feel better. For a while there I felt like I was never going to get anywhere. Now I imagine it will take some time to get past this vibrational state and finally project!

The only thing between you and your dreams is ENERGY.

Leave a comment Standard

Yesterday I turned 34. Being in my thirties is very interesting because it is a time in which our society believes that you should have your life together. If you don’t have your life together, you are a failure. If you have not achieved your dream you might as well give up and get a “real job.” If you are doing what you want by this age, then good for you. That is the overall energy I felt once I hit my early thirties.

Well, I have created a small business with my wife and sold the client list. We are now traveling full-time in a RV. These are two dreams that have come to fruition in my early thirties. I feel good about this, but I am failing still as an artist. This is hard for me, because becoming a successful artist is my ultimate goal.

Performing in front of thousands of people, starting my own clothing line, writing a best selling novel, making movies – the list goes on. It all sounds crazy and perhaps impossible, but these are my dreams as an artist and entrepreneur. Big dreams take time and I am willing to be patient.

My life is so different now. My wife and I travel around the United States, typically staying in one place for a month at a time. We both teach English online which is what allows us to keep traveling. We all also do workshops at yoga studios and I do readings over the phone. It is taking longer than I anticipated in regards to growing our new business. Luckily we can both teach English online. I love it because I get to meet people from all over the world, help them with their English and learn new things about their culture.

I’ve always known that I was a late bloomer. It is why I am not afraid of getting older. I know I will achieve all my dreams. The key for me is letting go of the societal expectations that create that feeling of failure. Aside from that the big component is staying persistent; practicing music, writing, making films, etc.

Anytime I go to pursue a bigger goal I am always met with doubt, but I can always rely on my growing confidence and self belief. Every wall I break through, I use that strength I gained to battle through the next wall. The only thing between myself and my dreams is energy. I know how to move energy. I have and will continue to move it out of my way. Dreams are possible. We have seen many people live their dreams. If you believe dreams are impossible, that is where you are stuck. That will greatly limit you. Dreams are beautiful because it is a time in which you can shine. Dreams allow the spirit to be engaged.

Where are you in your life? What is your next step to reeling in your dream? #makeithappen

Driving to my Dreams

Leave a comment Standard

On the road, is this my home?
Driving down the highway, I’m not alone
And with my higher-self up above, I’m in my zone
I find myself content, I find myself happy
Not another place I would rather be
Than in the drivers seat and feeling free
Would you believe it to work?
Would you believe it be okay?
Don’t take the risk, some may say…
But I trust and I must…
Drive to all my dreams
And some are jealous, some are inspired
Just know I’m not perfect, I just have this fire
I’m hardwired to never stop
Until I experience my dreams in my skin
A master in the spiritual sky
But I think it is time to sink in
My heart and my eyes
To feel and to see
To drive to all my dreams
