Alpha Brain for Lucid Dreaming: Day 13

Okay, so I had a wild experience last night. I took two alpha brain pills around 6PM and went to sleep a little after 9PM. I experimented with something new last night which is called a ramp timer. I used a YouTube video that was about 3 hours in length and the first 60 minutes is just silence. After the first hour there are beeping sounds that occur every 5 minutes. The idea is that this is to help you induce a lucid dream or astral projection. So, I thought I would give it a try.

Okay, so I was having a dream where I was in a hotel room lying in bed. In this dream I was also doing the ramp timer experiment. I was lying there, heard a sound go off and I started projecting out of my body. I only lifted a foot or so out of my body and then returned. I changed my sleeping position, tried going back to sleep and awaited the next sound to go off five minutes later. Eventually I thought to myself that it was taking too long and once I had that thought I launched out of my bed and started flying in the sky. I felt like was going very fast and I was surprised how long it was lasting because normally my previous experiences end quickly.

I’m not going to go into the entire dream experience, but at one point in my dream I was able to manifest a dream character, but the person that appeared was not who I was expecting, so I guess I was not specific enough. The interesting thing about this whole experience is that it was all a DREAM. In this dream I felt like I was having a real astral projection, but it was not. It wasn’t even a lucid dream because I didn’t have that moment in the dream where I was like, “Oh! I AM DREAMING!” But I did have a good degree of control in the dream. This explains some dreams that I have had in the past where I was not having a full on lucid dream but I was able to control aspects of the dream.

When I was waking up on my real bed I realized oh it wasn’t a real astral projection it was just a dream. It is kind of cool though because the feeling of projecting in the dream felt so real. I think it can almost help me prepare for future astral projections. So, with the combination of alpha brain, the ramp timer, meditation, reality checks and binaural beats – I have been able to have some pretty cool dream experiences. I have three more days left of experimenting with Alpha Brain. If I have any more experiences I will report back!

Alpha Brain for Lucid Dreaming: 1 week

Okay, so I have been taking Alpha Brain for about 1 week now. I have been experimenting with different times and how many pills I take (1-2). My dream recall has been very good and very early this morning was my first vivid dream while taking this supplement.  I have been keeping a dream journal now for almost 5 months and after typing in my journal I have come to realize that this mornings journal entry has been the longest one yet.

It is hard to tell whether or not this is just part of my natural progression of dreaming and dream recall or it is the supplement doing its work. I have a feeling it is both. I’m not sure what other peoples experiences are, but aside from the experiencing good dream recall immediately, it has taken one full week to have a really vivid dream. My vivid dream though was more like a vivid nightmare, which is unusual for me because in the past 5 months I can only recall having like one nightmare. I don’t think it had anything to do with the supplement but more to do with some of the stress I have felt in the past few days.

My nightmare though wasn’t a typical nightmare. It started off normal, then turned into a nightmare and then ended on a positive and surprising note. In the past if I had a nightmare, the whole thing was just bad. So this one was very different. This is also my first dreaming experience in the past 5 months where after I woke up and started writing down the dream, I had an epiphany. I actually understood the dream and I think that is because it was a very full dream and I could recall it mostly from start to finish. Most of my dreams are just very strange and don’t make much sense or at least the meaning isn’t very clear to me. This nightmare / dream was very different in that regard.

I don’t know how many pills i have left, but I will just continue taking them and report back what I notice. I still meditate and do reality checks daily to help to have a higher chance of having a lucid dream, so we shall see…

Alpha Brain for Lucid Dreaming: Day 2

Okay So it has been over 4.5 months since I have been practicing lucid dreaming & astral projection and it has been a very exciting and frustrating ride. The nights you have great vivid dreams, experience the vibrations or have a lucid dream are great, but then there are those mornings you wake up and have no result except maybe just remembering your dreams. To be honest, just remembering your dreams isn’t all that bad, I guess I just need to manage my expectations right?

Back in February I was thinking about experimenting with a supplement for my dreams and I came across alpha brain. I have heard of it before on Joe rogans podcast but never knew that it could help with lucid dreams. So I went out and bought it. I experimented with it for about two days and did not have a positive experience. I experienced a lot of brain fog the next day I woke up which really bummed me out especially since Alpha Brain is not very cheap.

Anyway, fast forward to April and I have decided to give Alpha brain a second chance. I recall having some sinus issues around the same time I originally tried it, so perhaps it was a fluke.

So, I took just one pill (not the recommended 2) last night around 6PM. The reason I took it so late was because I read a blog about someone who was experiencing lucid dreams when taking this 3-5 hours before going to sleep. I thought I would do the same. Not long after taking the pill I noticed being more alert and having more mental energy. When it was time to go to sleep I did not have any issues, however, I did have a slight problem going back to sleep when waking up in the middle of the night. I did not have any lucid dreams last night, but my dream recall was greatly improved. It’s funny because in one of my dreams I was even talking with a dream character about alpha brain. At one point in one of my dreams I even started doing telekinesis which is something that is common for me. So for this morning I have not experienced any brain fog!

I plan on taking one pill 4-5 hours before going to sleep until I run out. I will write a blog each morning describing my results. So feel free to subscribe to the blog to find out more about my experiences with Alpha Brain.

Flying in a Lucid Dream

I’ve had dreams in the past where I found myself levitating and floating around, but I don’t recall a dream where I was flying. Just recently though I had a very short lucid dream that involved flying. Let’s dive in, shall we?

Okay so I was asleep but my wife was still up teaching. When she came to bed, she woke me up unintentionally. Once I was awake I had difficulty going back to sleep. I tossed and turned and at some point I finally fell asleep. I recall having a dream where I was in the house that I grew up in. I was in the main living room and it was dark, except for some light coming from a closed door that leads to the kitchen. I knew my father was in there and I could hear him listening to once of my youtube videos. I decided not to enter the room. Suddenly, I find myself at the end of my parents driveway. It is snowing quite heavily and the snow flakes are very big. I thought to myself – is this how dreams begin? In other words I was curious about how I ended up in a different place so quickly. I start to walk down the driveway and I have this thought that maybe I am dreaming, but I doubt it. To my surprise though I realize I am dreaming. Immediately, I start to fly down the driveway with great ease. It is so effortless. While flying I have the thought that I will start to lose consciousness. Fade to black.

It was a very short lucid dream, but I learned two things from this: 1) For someone who is new to lucid dreaming, it may be best to avoid things like flying and telekinesis. For me, these things seem to come natural, but generate too much excitement that it wakes me up so quickly from the lucid dream. 2) The way I became lucid was from questioning how I ended up in a new scene so quickly. So, asking yourself during the day, “how did I get here?” – is a great reality check.

It is exciting to have a lucid dream, but it is frustrating that it doesn’t last so long. I realize though that I am new to this and it will take some time to get grounded in this practice. Once I can remain calm and composed, perhaps then I can have longer lucid dreams.

Why I want to have OOBE’s…

Out of body experiences. Why? Well, because I have to. I have to. The moment I got into spirituality I wanted to astral project. I tried once and failed back in 2006 or 2007 and eventually found a psychic school where I focused on meditation, clairvoyance and energy healing. This school though was all about being IN the body. Sure there was some discussion and classes in regards to the astral, but most of the classes and trainings were about being present and in your physical body.  It is exactly what I needed at that time in my life and I will continue to use what I learned there the rest of my life. It is also helping me in my process of learning to lucid dream & have OOBE’s.

Some may wonder why someone would even want to do this. Lately, I have wondered the same for myself. Why do I want to do this? It feels the same when I signed up for my first clairvoyant training. I didn’t really know what I was getting into, but I knew I had to do it. This is just something I have to do. There is so much to explore, so much to learn and that is what excites me. I have used my clairvoyance and saw many mental image pictures about astral projection, but only have had a few out of body experiences. I want to do more than just see it, I want to experience it and that is what I am set out to do.

Here is a current list of things I would like to experience out of the body:

  1. I have already had an OOBE and saw my physical body, but I would like to experience this again.
  2. I want to meditate out of body. I want to know what it feels like running energy, getting grounded and using psychic abilities.
  3. I want to explore the planet and the rest of the universe.
  4. I want to gain a better understanding of my soul totality.
  5. I want to gain a better understanding of the astral.
  6. I want to learn the difference between lucid dreaming and astral projection.
  7. I want to visit my akashic records and explore it.
  8. I want to go to my threshold, the place where we go in between life-times.
  9. I want to explore more of my past-lives.
  10. I want to go back in time on the planet and I want to go into the future.
  11. I want to communicate with other beings on the astral.
  12. I want to continue to heal myself.
  13. I want to conquer certain fears I hold onto.
  14. I want to practice playing musical instruments while on the astral.
  15. I want to enhance my creativity.

I could probably think of more but this is a good list to start off with. I have many goals and many things I would like to experience, but I know this is a process. It is going to take some time just figuring the best method for me to have OOBE’s and then it may take some time to have them more frequently and for longer periods of time. I am 3.5 months into my journey of learning lucid dreaming and astral projection and I am stoked. There are times it can be incredibly frustrating but this is just one of those things I can’t let go. This practice really teaches you patience and commitment. Years ago I probably wouldn’t have been ready for this, but now… I am.

3 Months of Dream Journaling

I have been dream journaling for three months now and it has really helped with my ability to remember my dreams. One might ask, why do you even want to remember your dreams? Well, my main intention for it is to have lucid dreams. What are lucid dreams you ask? It’s a good question because most people do not know what a lucid dream is. It is when you know you are dreaming while you are in a dream. Essentially you wake up in your dream. Pretty cool right?  So, how does dream journaling help with lucid dreaming?

Prior to recording my dreams, I usually did not remember any of my dreams upon awakening. After three months of dream journaling though, now I can remember at least 1-6 dreams per 7-9 hours of sleep. Having a dream journal helps with shining a light on your dream space. Most people don’t think they even dream at night because they can’t remember. If you start recording dreams, you will start to increase your dream recall ability. This helps with bringing awareness to your dream space and having awareness in this particular aspect of your life is exactly what lucid dreaming is all about.

Dreams can be very bizarre, yet as strange as they can be, we don’t question them. Well, what if you did start to question them? What if you asked yourself, “am I dreaming?” Two things could happen, you could somehow convince yourself that everything is normal and carry on as normal or you may realize that of course, it just a dream. That is when you begin having a lucid dream. From that point on you have the potential of controlling your dream.

For most, lucid dreaming seems to be uncommon. Most people I have talked to about it don’t know what it is and never had the experience. To my surprise though I have come across a few people that lucid dream a few times a month or even a few times a week. I personally had one lucid dream when I was younger which was spontaneous. Just recently during my three months of dream journaling and practice, I have had one solid lucid dream. So it seems dream journaling isn’t necessary to lucid dream, but it can certainly help.

For me this is a process of waking up. I love clarity. I love to be aware. I love to know my truth. My journey with clairvoyance has helped me greatly with this in the past. It is also helping me with my journey in lucid dreaming & astral projection. I am very excited with this next part of my spiritual journey. I have a lot of goals with achieving out of body experiences and having lucid dreams and I can’t wait to share that with others. I am also eager to see how this will impact me as a creator; with my writing, filming, music and more.

the Importance of Dreaming

I have the opportunity to speak to people from all around the world almost everyday. At some point in my conversations I always like to ask – what are your dreams? Some people will tell me what they are and others say they don’t have any dreams… I don’t buy it. I think we all have dreams, small or big, I think we all have them, but might not be aware of them. Some people think they don’t have dreams when they sleep. Well actually, you are most likely having numerous dreams throughout the night, but again, you may just not remember. 

I have an obsession with dreams; day dreams, sleeping dreams and the dreams in which you pursue in your life. I think a lot of people may believe that day dreaming is just a natural phenomena that occurs, but has no use whatsoever. I disagree. Day Dreaming for me is a way in which I generate new ideas that aide in my creative process. What about sleeping dreams? What if you could wake up in your dreams and know you are dreaming, while in the dream? Some call this dream yoga and others may call this lucid dreaming. It is actually scientifically proven. Aside from having fun, some say lucid dreaming can be used to heal yourself and to work on new skills. I am still new to lucid dreaming so the fun part I fully understand, however, I have not had enough experiences to use lucid dreams for healing and personal growth. I kind of get it though… What if you were having a nightmare in your sleep and suddenly realized it was simply a bad dream you were having? Once you become aware, then you can change what is happening. You can end the nightmare. For those who experience recurring nightmares, this would be huge. You can apply this to regular life too. Perhaps you are unhappy, I mean very unhappy. Maybe it has to do with a certain aspect of your life. What if what you were doing had nothing to do with your truth? What if you were just living someone else’s expectation? After a while that could certainly start to feel like a nightmare. Now what if you start to realize that and start to make changes? What if you start to move in a new direction, a direction of authenticity? Perhaps now you are seeing the similarities with sleeping dreams & dreams  your pursue…

Some people say they don’t have dreams for this life. I disagree. It can be simple, small or a massive dream – but it is there, waiting for you to wake up to it. For some reason it seems we are led to believe that because we don’t remember our dreams (while asleep or for your life) then we just don’t have any. And sometimes for those that do have an awareness of the dream they want to pursue feel as though it isn’t a real possibility. I disagree. 

I have been learning how to lucid dream for over two months now and it is not easy. I have been pursuing my dreams since I was about twenty-three. Again, it is not easy. I think they are important though. I think they are the reasons we are here. Dreams are highly desired experiences we crave. Your purpose? Well perhaps it has to do with the WHY you want to have these particular experiences? What will you learn from these experiences? How might you share your wisdom with the world?
