Why Meditate?

Tonight I will be teaching the first class of my six week meditation series. The topics for the class tonight will be learning about the aura, chakras, grounding and replenishment. To me, the first class is probably the most important class because you are learning how to get your body safe, become more present and have a way to release unwanted energy. 

The way I see things is that everything in the universe is energy. Energy is always passing through us. On occasion we resist an energy and it gets stuck. How does that affect you over time if you don’t clear it? One thing I can say is that you will have a little less space for you and your energy. The more space you have for yourself can have a big impact on how you feel.  The more of your own energy you have available to you, the more you can do and the more you can create. When your energy is in movement, things will feel like they are working just fine. When your energy is stuck or you are just operating on someone elses energy, then perhaps things might feel a bit off. 

What is the point of meditation? Well, to me, meditation is the act in which there is open dialogue between the three aspects of the soul; the feeling self, reasoning self and higher-self. What would happen if all the aspects of your soul were communicating and on the same page? How would your life start to change? Why are you here on this planet with this body? You have this amazing vehicle to experience life with. What do you truly want to experience in life? What are your dreams?

The art of meditation I series is all about setting up your meditation space. It helps you get safe and connected to your truth. There are tools that can help you get unstuck and also help you turn down the distractions so you can begin to feel, hear, see and know your energy and truth. 

I dare ask you, what if your life was a reflection of your immortal self?

An Extraordinary Life

At age thirty-three, I feel as though my life is just beginning. Unlike most people, I look forward to getting older. I feel this way because I know I will continue sinking into my voice, embracing the aspects of my identity and experiencing more of my dreams.

As a clairvoyant I look at past-lives. I have looked at quite a few of mine and I have seen low lives and high lives. I’ve always had an intuition that this life was going to be very unique. In my early twenties I became very passionate about pursuing my dreams, but never sat back and thought about this life possibly being a high life.

Could I unlock all my abilities and experience all of my dreams? Could this be an extraordinary life? I never wanted to do just one thing. I’ve always been interested in singing, dancing, writing, acting, painting, travel, starting businesses, movies, modeling – the list goes on. You see the lucky few that get to do many things, that get to have a lot in life. Maybe they were born into wealth and opportunity or perhaps they worked their asses off to have what they have. I was not born into wealth, but I am driven. I know if I just keep moving forward, I will experience one dream after the next.

I think something that I will have as I reach bigger dreams is gratitude. I can only imagine that after all the pain and frustration of being stuck and then finally breaking through, I will be immensely grateful. How could I take anything for granted at that point?

I like being an entrepreneur. Despite some frustration, I do enjoy the challenge of starting a new business. I also enjoy having a home on wheels to travel full time. It is interesting because we have met numerous people since we have bought our fifth wheel RV and they have mentioned how they want to do the same at some point. We met a guy in Margate, NJ where we saw Lucy the Elephant (2nd largest elephant structure in the world) and he said, “you guys are living the dream!” It is weird to think about, but I do feel this is the beginning of MY life. It is terrifying, but I am learning to trust myself. I don’t desire or expect perfection and I’m sure there will be some setbacks, but I do believe life is just going to get and better and better. In those last few moments before I die, I want to smile thinking, holy shit – that was one crazy life.

Sure my life has seemed pretty crazy prior to this moment, but something is different now. I feel a change. I feel like I have taken ownership of my life. I feel the freedom and I don’t intend on wasting it. This life is extraordinary.

Healing your Memories

We all have a few memories that contain a lot of resistance. Maybe it is something someone said or something they did. It could be as simple as a conversation or something very traumatic. Despite the experience being in the past, you still have a memory with negative energy attached to it. The usual suspects are pain, punishment and invalidation. Now, if you have a memory that you never healed from, for example, you never found forgiveness or neutrality, then a good question to ask is, how is that memory still impacting your life today?

Do you have issues with getting safe and grounded? Do you have difficulty trusting yourself and others? If you have a recurring issue arise throughout your life, it is possible that you may have a particular memory that has not been cleared. Finding your freedom is like peeling back the layers of an onion. There may be numerous memories that you have look through before finding the root cause. This is usually not a fun and easy process. Normally we just want to forget the pain and move on, but sometimes it is necessary going all the way back in time and confronting it. The healing is not so much about forgetting, but is about de-charging the core memory. Letting go all the resistance, pain and invalidation can be a great relief and even life changing. Some tools that help with the healing process are forgiveness, neutrality and amusement. 

All healing is self-healing. When I do energy work with clients all I am doing is working with the energy of forgiveness and giving them permission to release. It is up to the client on how much they are willing to let go. Coming to a point where you can find forgiveness, acceptance and amusement with a dark time in your life can seem impossible and maybe even absurd, but healing is a choice. You can remain in the role of a victim or you can you build up your courage, overcome and take back your personal power. I believe in the human spirit. I believe that we are all stronger than our greatest limitation. It is just a matter of finding that inner strength. Maybe you don’t have anyone in your life that believes in you, but you can believe in yourself.

How to Meditate

Have you ever thought about meditating, but you just don’t know where to start? Look no further, I am here to help! I am going to provide a free step by step guide on how to ground. What is grounding? It is your connection to the Earth. Why is that important? Grounding has all to do with getting your body safe and releasing negative energy. Sounds great, how do you do it? Well the style of meditation that I teach is visual meditation. Let’s get started!

  1. Find a quiet space, sit in a chair and have your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Close your eyes and take a big deep breath in. Exhale. Again, take another big deep breath in and exhale. 
  3. Notice where you attention is. Wherever it is, is fine, but bring your attention to your physical body. Your physical body is always in present time.
  4. Say hello to the base of your spine. This is the location of your first chakra, often referred to as the root chakra. 
  5. Imagine a telephone pole where one end connects to the base of your spine (root chakra) and the other descends all the way to the center of the Earth. Take a moment and allow that to establish.
  6. Take a big deep breath in. Exhale. What you just created, was essentially a line of energy from your first chakra all the way to core of the Earth. This is your grounding cord, this is your relationship with the Earth. 
  7. Now that you are grounded, your body is safe, you have more permission to be present and you have a way to clear unwarned energy.
  8. Bring you attention back behind your eyes. Take a big deep breath in and exhale.
  9. Notice what it is like to be grounded. If there has been any energy bothering you recently, go ahead and give yourself permission to release it down your grounding cord. It is kind of like flushing the toilet. There is no need to fix, solve or analyze, just let it go. 
  10. Take a big deep breath in, exhale and come out of meditation.

That is grounding. This is the foundation to everything I teach. Grounding is all about safety, releasing unwanted energy, realness and being present. I teach grounding in a FREE YouTube video. Dream On

Dreaming have always been a fascination of mine. There are many forms of dreams; day dreams, sleeping dreams and the dreams you want to achieve. When I look at day dreaming, it is kind of like spacing out or resting on the couch, but not falling completely to sleep. We can experience anxiety in our day dreams, but can also gain inspiration from our day dreams. Sometimes when I have a creative block, I allow myself to day dream. Images and ideas eventually come to me which I end up using in my art.

I have an affinity for sleeping. When my body is at rest, I am able to travel the astral. Most of the time I am not conscious while sleeping, but I have experienced lucid dreaming a few times. When I was younger I became aware that I was dreaming and started to control my dreams. I recall wanting to go to a music concert and just with that thought, I altered my dreams and a rock concert appeared. There was another time where I was living in Chicago and I was asleep. Again, I woke up in my dreams and found myself in the house I grew up in, which was in a completely different part of the country. I remember looking at my astral body hands and then trying to walk through walls. I didn’t make it all the way through the wall because it felt very weird and I ended up waking up from my sleep. 

I think all the different forms of dreams are all connected. What I day dream and dream at night about are usually related to the dreams I want to achieve. My dreams are filled with music, writing, comedy, teaching, energy work, etc. Sure I’ve had my fair share of nightmares. They have surfaced in my waking life, day dreams and sleeping dreams. I look at nightmares as energy, energy from someone or somewhere else that I have resisted and allowed to enter my space. I’ve learned that blaming and complaining won’t do anything. It is simply a matter of making a choice to move it out and to embrace your truth. 

When I first got into spirituality I was all about astral projection. I wanted to have these amazing out of body experiences. Over time what I have learned is that what makes me the most happy is when I am experiencing a dream in the body. What does that even mean? From my perspective, what it looks like for someone to be experiencing a dream in their waking life is when their astral body and physical body are synced up. In addition to that, a person is grounded (connected to the earth) and aligned with their higher-self (purpose). Their energy is in movement and they are present. That scenario is what I call – MAGIC.

Getting Safe, Getting Grounded

Along my spiritual journey I have come to understand the importance of grounding. What is grounding?

Grounding is a connection from your 1st chakra (root chakra) all the way to the center of the earth. Being grounding not only gets your body safe, but it is also a way for you to release negative energy.  Here is a link to a free video where I teach grounding.

Without safety it is difficult to build and shape an authentic life. When I was homeless in California for three months, even though I didn’t have my own home to go to, I did have various shelters I could go to. I did have ways access food and water. While the quality of my safety and survival was not very good, my basic needs were met. Due to having minimal to no responsibility, I was able to experience a great deal of freedom. My goal is to retain that, just with a stronger and healthier grounding.

There were actually times when I did have my own apartment, but failed to keep a job and because of that, fear and anxiety really took over. I felt less safe during that time period then when I was homeless in California. Of course, there are many emotions when first becoming homeless, however, once you get used to it, it really isn’t that bad.

As a clairvoyant I can see different types of grounding cords. Does this person ground themselves or are they somehow dependent upon someone else? Does this person live and stay one one general place? Do they have a home base and travel? Do they travel full-time? Is this person very independent? Is this person a multi-millionaire? It is easy to tell how a person lives from their grounding.

Our grounding may shift in vibration when doing different types of activities; work, travel, creative projects, etc. What happens though, if you transform your grounding? What happens if your roots wither away and a new way grounding is created? The idea of this may be frightening, but for me it is incredibly exciting. I love transformation.

What if a new way grounding meant feeling more real? What if a new way of grounding meant being seen? What if a new way grounding meant a whole new way of communicating?

Just because you have your grounding set, does not mean it may never change, but when you do have your grounding the way you want, you can begin to build and shape your life. When your foundation is solid, you feel safe and have a general degree of certainty. Then it becomes easier to focus on other aspects of your life. When you are safe, you have more permission to have your abilities turned on. What abilities? Your ability to be seen, to be heard, to speak well, to have love…
